Diversity as used below is probability that two or more identical appliances will be ON at the same time.
- 2 television @ 100W each for 4 hours @ 0.9 diversity factor = 2×100×4 = 800Whr
- Fridge @ 150W for 6hrs = 150 × 6 = 900Whr
- 3 fans @ 75W each for 18hrs @ 0.5 diversity factor = 3 × 75 × 18 × 0.5 = 2025Whr
- led bulbs, quantity not stated. We will assume 10 led bulbs of 5W each ON for average of 10 hrs (some will be ON for longer period, some for shorter period) diversity factor 0.8 = 10 × 5 × 10 × 0.8 = 400Whr
Total requirement for load is 800 + 2025 + 900 + 800 = 4125Whr.
Assume inverter self consumption of 25W * 24hrs = 600Whr.
Note charging loss is ignored since lifepo4 battery was opted for.
Total energy require from solar panel = 4125 + 600 = 4725W.
Solar panel required = 4725/3 = 1,575W
Inverter fridge does not require high startup power so 1.5kVA or 1kW inverter at 24V is enough for the setup.
A 60A 24V solar charge controller can handle 1500W solar panel.
200AH 24V is 4800Whr which can confortably carry both TV, all 3 fans and the lights for 10hrs when fully charged.
