Such elements may be related to the depicted subjects to the degree of movement of the subjects or to the percentage of the depth of field to the shadow and light to the volumes to the lines of the composition to the position they occupy within the frame or with anything else enclosed within an image. But what gives them special importance which in turn gives birth to the photographic event and utilizes photography is the relationship between them. That is the dialogue. And finally the quality of the dialogue is directly proportional to the quality of the photograph. Most people have two ways of communicating with the world.
One the most internal is the one who attempts their honest communication with the world and their fellow human beings and the second the most external is the one who through a mask ensures a percentage of communication with the outside world and their fellow men. It is the photo background removing analogy between the naked and the clothed body. This dualism does not constitute hypocrisy but is part of the right of defense that every human wants to exercise in order to protect the hermetic space of his personality. The safety of the clothes protects his naked body from prying eyes. But the clothes never cease to be a part of his true personality. Our showcase is also our creation.
The mask is not built as a wall to exclude third parties and the outside world but as a grid consisting of examples of commonly accepted behavior of conventions and rules which integrate the individual into society. but lets out the most conventional and commonly accepted part of our always true self. Over time of course the phenomenon happens that a person uses his mask so effectively and gets comfortable behind it that he forgets that there is also a more private part thus adopting the showcase as content. But in all the essential and deeply personal acts and relationships of our lives in areas such as love friendship family ideological recruitment and of course artistic creation the mask ensures first and foremost an always acceptable result but ultimately it acts as a barrier and does not allow us to utilize the full range and above all the uniqueness of our personality.
