I would like to give feedback on my transaction with mountmoriah regarding the woods i bought from him yesterday. I saw his post here on nairaland that he is into wood business, lo and behold his post came at the right time that i needed to make a final decision on who to supply me my decking woods. I contacted him via whatsapp and he responded within a seconds and we finalised the deal within 30 miunutes. I linked him with my Engr. for further discussions and both agreed to go on with supply within 5 minutes. Mountmoriah supplied my Engr with 1by12(600 pieces) and 2by3(300 pieces) the following day, the woods are very good and very complete. Mountmoriah has been one of the best supplier (if not best) in term of responds to customers and sticking to agreement. Please kindly patronize him for your wood supply

brabus the weight of things kind of block Will likely make u require extra rebar to take care of the load. Unit weight of block like this will b above 3.5kn/m2..Trying to make a structure light reduce cost of construction. Another things is use the block as load bearing wall

mastermovic You want to use these types of block in substructures or bunker structures/basements.

A Chinese company advertised similar block to me sometimes ago.

I need wood sizes and quantities required for roof carcass on a 57ft x 41ft four bedroom flat to be covered with aluminum steptiles. Kingpost height is 13ft and parapet width is 1ft.

Since you have a parapet no need for 1×12(facial board)

2×2@ N350 × 200pcs = N70, 000

2×3@ N450 × 240pcs = N108, 000

2×4@ N550 × 210pcs = N115, 500

2×6@ N900 × 10pcs = N9, 000

3×4@ N850 × 20pcs = N17, 000

Total is = N319, 500

You will need two bags 4inches nails and one bag 3inches nails

4 inches nails @N9, 000 × 2 = N18, 000
3 inches nails @N9, 000 × 1 = N9, 000

Total cost of nails = N27, 000

Workmanship: = N130, 000

Grand Total = N476, 500
excluding transport since you don’t specific where the project is located

Construction Failure

brabus I won’t call this a failure yet maybe a serviceability failure error due to the wood sha..

Use of planks is not good for such due to wetting and drying which is not really favourable , we can make use of plate but the beam needs to be more closer.

Soon the damage will affect the tank making it have multiple contours , maybe 1day I will upload a tank scaffold drawing.

You only create a section for Architect to show Case pls do for structure .There are some plan we can optimized and save owner a huge amount if they follow normal construction process.

Daudaxp I think if you post the plan or the total meters of the facial to be covered, the estimate you’ll get will be more accurate.
