The Pre-Construction Stage
You got a land, secured the title documents, what next?

We’d advice you to have a mental picture of your dream and ideal house, if possible, get a draft design or a picture of a similar build and look for a land in your ideal location to build the house.
This simple strategy helps you to anticipate the features and functions of different parts of your building and make best plan during the construction process.
Constructing a building is a huge investment that involves setting aside a specific budget. After planning what to build, you need to also decide on how the building project will be carried out - the build route (contractor managed, self-build, owner builder managed), materials, types of machinery, and labor required to complete the building project.
At this stage of planning, if your financial capability is limited, it is advised not to proceed further until you have sufficient resource to get the project to a safe berth. Otherwise, there might be a cash crunch situation.
