So I just started my project which would involve using alternative affordable building techniques using interlocking bricks, bio-digester soakaway and any other affordable and ecofriendly techniques. So I already fabricated my interlocking machine here in Nigeria and we started the foundation yesterday.

guysmilee134 Yeah! Just one day into the project the masons have started over calculating(in my opinion). The foundation length is 96m and they dug 1.2m deep, now the mason are estimating that we would use a total of 2985 blocks 😁😁😁. When all the apps on the internet and expert opinion are calculating 1600 based on our dimensions. Well I have told them to recalculate and we would only provide what is needed. 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

guysmilee134 Good morning guys, so we have been moving on smoothly I would say until I noticed this error this morning. I have told the engineer that it should be removed and recasted even if it means breaking the blocks.

guysmilee134 brabus Well my main issue was supervision. I was supervising by proxy so it was difficult to insist on the exact quality and concrete mix. But I tried my best to enforce it. I also was able to procure my materials directly from the sellers which is better. I am looking forward to the next stage soon Insha Allah

guysmilee134 After a very long recess we are about to resume to site. Interlocking block making machine serviced and steel formwork fabricated and ready to go.
guysmilee134 Process is ongoing…. We can only cast 6 columns per day. And we have a total of 27 columns. 18 columns casted and 9 more to go.
